Turkey Sliders
Makes 14 to 16 sliders
2 1/2 lbs ground turkey
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp mustard powder
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Slider buns
Cheese (Cheddar, Gouda, or Provolone)
Combine the ground turkey, salt, pepper, garlic, onion, and mustard in a medium sized bowl. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined. Put a grill pan on the range over medium heat. Put half the olive oil in the pan to heat up. Form the turkey mixture into rounds about the size of tennis balls. I use a large cookie scoop. Press the rounds into patties about 1/4 inch thick. Cook 4 to 5 minutes per side. You will need to cook the sliders in two batches. If you are eating them right away, put the cheese on the sliders while they finish cooking. I put it on as soon as I flip them over, so about half way through the cooking time. Serve on the slider buns.
